ENDANGERED LANGUAGES TRAINING
EL Training was established in 2014 to deliver high quality training on the theory and practice of language documentation, language description, sociolinguistics, language policy, and language revitalisation. We offer training courses of various durations ranging from one day to two weeks, including intensive specialist training or general background training for participants with no previous knowledge or experience in these fields. We emphasise practical skills acquisition and group-based hands-on project work.
Our presenters include leaders in the field of language documentation, field linguistics, archiving, and related areas. They have presented training and workshops in countries including Australia, France, Germany, Ghana, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Lithuania, Norway, Sweden, Thailand, UK, and USA. See the Presenters page for further information.
